The Manager of Enterprise Financial Access directs and coordinates all activities related to financial counseling and financial clearance across WVU Medicine hospital locations. This includes benefit verification, service estimates, patient financial education, and assistance programs. The role ensures timely, accurate, and patient-centered financial access processes as part of the system's comprehensive care model.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *
:*
*EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
*EXPERIENCE: *
- Five (5) years of experience in hospital finance, revenue cycle, patient financial services, billing, collections, or accounts receivable management.
- Two (2) years of direct supervision of associates.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS *
:*
*EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) – HFMA.
*EXPERIENCE: *
- Working knowledge of hospital-based applications and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with third-party payers, medical terminology, and time-of-service collection procedures.

- Direct financial counseling and clearance operations across WVU Medicine's enterprise, ensuring consistency, compliance, and excellence in service delivery. Key operations include:
- Delivery of Patient Estimates: Oversee the generation of patient cost estimates for scheduled services, including insurance coverage, copays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs. Ensure the accuracy of delivered estimates.
- Oversight of Financial Assistance Programs: Manage workflows for processing financial assistance, Medicaid, or charity care applications.
- Onsite Revenue Cycle Customer Service: Create a highly visible, interactive onsite Customer Service team to respond to inquiries from patients onsite including but not limited to request for an estimate, explanation of past balances, setup of
