Why does the job exist?

The Program Coordinator will:
Support the successful implementation of new legislation aimed at restructuring Behavioral Health services across the state;

Develop and manage Governmental Services Agreements, RFPs, and RFAs that are essential to aligning resources, services, and partnerships with the goals of the reform;

Ensure that contracts and program operations are effectively planned, executed, and monitored, this position directly contributes to the delivery of efficient, measurable, and accountable behavioral health services.

How does it get done?

The Program Coordinator is responsible for:
Assisting in the development and management of Governmental Services Agreements, RFPs, and RFAs in support of program objectives and compliance with legislative requirements;

Supporting the planning and implementation of program procedures to ensure efficient and outcome-driven service delivery;

Monitoring program activities and assisting with tracking progress toward established goals; help identify gaps and support corrective actions;

Providing technical assistance and general support to program participants, partner organizations, and internal teams;

Contributing to the preparation of grant applications, proposals, and related documents;

Assisting in the development of training and educational materials; help coordinate and facilitate program-related meetings and events;

Participating in regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support communication and program alignment;

Providing input on potential improvements to policies, procedures, or program operations.

This job is performed in service of the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) and the broader community impacted by recent behavioral health legislation. The position supports the successful implementation of the legislation by helping contract with the right partners and providers needed to meet its goals. It also assists BHSD staff by ensuring they have the appropriate contractors in place to effectively carry out their program objectives and deliver high-quality services.

Ideal Candidate

This job is performed in service of the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) and the broader community impacted by recent behavioral health legislation. The position supports the successful implementation of the legislation by helping contract with the right partners and providers needed to meet its goals. It also assists BHSD staff by ensuring they have the appropriate contractors in place to effectively carry out their program objectives and deliver high-quality services.

Minimum Qualification

Associate's Degree and two (2) years of experience program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions

Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting.
