Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the café, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
• Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines in food handling and preparation.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or café settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in using POS systems for processing transactions.
• Experience with cash handling and retail math for accurate financial transactions.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
