Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster loyalty and satisfaction
• Assist customers with product selections, answer questions, and provide accurated information on specimens
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer needs are met
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
• Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising to optimize product availability
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Apply basic math skills for cash register operations, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations

Requirements

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers is highly desirable
• Experience and knowledge of specimens or similar geological/retail settings is advantageous
• Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays efficiently
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create positive interactions
• Basic math proficiency for cashiering duties and sales calculations
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
