Folino's Pizza creates Vermont Artisan Pizza, voted the best in the state for 4 years in a row. We specialize in naturally leavened, sourdough pizza. All our components are made from scratch from our sauce to our sausage to our ranch. We pride ourselves using high quality ingredients on our hand stretched dough. We offer a small and precise menu with a few additions to our pizza like fresh salads and appetizers.

Our team leaders are outgoing and hard working and expected to work alongside all our team members. They will be our trainers with a critical eye for putting together the perfect pizza, every time.

We will train at other locations depending on the vicinity of the candidate.

The General Manager is to lead a strong, proactive team to ensure smooth, consistent operations. This role requires at least 40 hours weekly with a mix of line and customer facing hours along with admin tasks. Responsibilities include hiring, team management, scheduling, overseeing daily operations, maintaining health and safety compliance, vendor ordering, customer service, and coordinating location upkeep. Strong leadership skills and experience in customer relations, conflict resolution, and quality assurance are essential.

This is a crucial position to all of our locations. You will be working directly and training with the Chief of Operations who has been with the company for over 7 years. We are willing to wait for the ideal person before filling this position and training will take as long as needed under the direction of the COO.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills with a background in staff training and management.
  • Experience in food service management and kitchen operations.
  • Proficient in conflict management and quality assurance practices.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (we use Toast) and cash handling procedures.
  • Experience in casual dining environments, with a focus on team management and hospitality excellence.
  • Strong interviewing skills and ability to supervise diverse teams effectively.
  • General kitchen prep experience with strong knife skills, time management efficiency, attention to recipes, and kitchen language.

This will become a salaried position once the right candidate has demonstrated leadership while creating our product to perfection. Starting pay while training and learning our systems will be at a base rate plus tips bringing the total hourly to $24-$27 based on previous experience. There will be many opportunities for advancement in expertise and pay as the right hire advances.

Pay: $62, $72,000.00 per year
