Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Core Systems

About the Opportunity:

The organization is a cloud-based infrastructure provider supporting the blockchain ecosystem. The team maintains global data infrastructure for large-scale customers, serving billions of requests daily. This opportunity is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for architecting, developing, and implementing scalable infrastructure platforms across private and public clouds, with a focus on automation, standardization, and operational excellence in a remote global environment.

Responsibilities:

• Research, architect, and deploy infrastructure systems across bare-metal servers, hypervisors, orchestrators, virtual machines, and containerized environments.

• Design and implement automation using Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration Management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Consul).

• Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, documentation, and architecture diagrams to support scale, reliability, and compliance.

• Collaborate with Technical Operations, CloudOps, and Platform teams for system integration, deployment efficiency, and enhanced observability.

• Optimize resource allocation and infrastructure cost efficiency while maintaining performance and uptime goals.

• Enhance resilience and scalability through capacity planning, disaster recovery testing, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Administration, Datacenter Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering with expertise in Linux/Unix systems.

• Proven experience designing and managing hybrid cloud and traditional infrastructure platforms at scale (bare-metal, virtualized, and cloud-native).

• Hands-on experience with automation, configuration management, and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Consul, and Jenkins.

• Proficiency with observability and monitoring platforms (Grafana, ELK, VictoriaMetrics, DataDog).

• Programming experience in Python, Go, or JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture principles including scalability, redundancy, fault tolerance, and cost optimization.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and networking fundamentals in cloud and datacenter environments.

• Proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to deliver under pressure and promote continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional engineering alignment.

Compensation:

• The US base salary range and level for this position are $161,000 - $210,250 per year and level P4.

• International ranges, in local currency, will be discussed during the hiring process with applicable candidates.

• This role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to company and individual goal achievement.

• Years of experience, proficiency, technical competencies, and location are considered in determining base salary.
