Activity Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging programs and activities for residents in our community. This role requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in recreational therapy and caregiving.

Duties:

• Develop and coordinate recreational programs for residents, including those with dementia and memory care needs
• Manage schedules and ensure activities run smoothly
• Provide counseling on aging issues and social work support
• Plan and execute events to promote social interaction and overall well-being
• Collaborate with staff to integrate activities into daily care routines

Skills:

• Experience in recreational therapy and event planning
• Knowledge of home community care and dementia care practices
• Strong schedule management abilities
• Understanding of aging issues counseling
• Background in social work or caregiving
