Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, HVAC equipment, and other comfort and convenience products.

Snapshot

This position is a full-time, in office, administrative and customer service role. You will be the initial point of contact for both incoming phone calls and customers visiting our West Grove office. This role requires bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish, a positive attitude, friendly demeanor, careful attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and strong communication skills.

Objective

To assist and support the West Grove propane service department with schedule customers for various service needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Answer telephones quickly in a friendly and personable manner.
  • Schedule propane service calls for West Grove and maintain Outlook calendar.
  • Dispatch emergency calls to technicians.
  • Create service work orders.
  • Close service bills (W.O.) for West Grove Propane Manager.
  • Daily scheduling.
  • Handle all gas leaks.
  • Pull Miss Utility.
  • Scan documents into the system.
  • Set up new accounts when needed.
  • Provide backup coverage to Branch Propane Coordinator and Delivery Dispatcher.
  • Always represent Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform any other special duties requested by the Branch Manager or Office Manager.
  • Offer assistance to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual- English and Spanish
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and company policies in English.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service/relations experience.
  • Excellent telephone and communications skills.
  • Basic cash handling and accounting experience.
  • Intermediate computer experience and knowledge using Microsoft Office programs.

Additional Requirements

  • Computer skills, including:
  • Entering data into computer using data entry and word processing software.
  • Work on and be proficient with e-mail systems.
  • Ability to learn new software systems required for Schagrin Home Comfort Products.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to productivity.
  • Ability to work cohesively with others in a team environment.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:
  • Making suggestions for improvement.
  • Learning new skills, procedures, and processes.
  • Being available for other duties as required.

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Language Skills

  • Read and interpret documents such as policies, business documents, invoices, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Spoken fluency in both English and Spanish, capable of understanding and translating for Spanish-speaking customers.

Mathematical Skills

  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience performing cash handling and accounting tasks.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to touch, handle or feel, talk, and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
