Installation Technician

Position Summary:

As a Refrigeration Case Installation Technician at Case South, you'll be on the front lines of our grocery store projects, installing refrigerated cases, coolers, and freezers in both new builds and remodels. You'll work with a tight-knit crew to ensure that each install is level, clean, sealed, and ready for the refrigeration team to bring to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload, move, and position refrigerated grocery cases per layout plans
• Level, plumb, and anchor cases with precision and attention to detail
• Route and connect drains, electrical whips, and case accessories (as needed)
• Install bumpers, kickplates, end panels, and trim kits for a polished finish
• Inspect cases on arrival for freight damage or missing components
• Communicate punch list needs and progress to the Project Manager
• Follow construction schedules and coordinate with other trades onsite
• Document completed work, issues, and photos in MaintainX daily
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and Case South standards
• Work efficiently in active grocery stores or under tight timelines during overnight remodels
• Travel regionally with overnight stays required (hotel and per diem provided)

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of experience installing refrigerated cases or working in commercial construction
• Familiarity with Hussmann, Hillphoenix, Kysor Warren, or similar brands preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, case layouts, and site plans
• Skilled with hand tools, drills, grinders, levels, and tape measures
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a professional attitude
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working on your feet for extended periods
• Willingness to travel as needed — this is a road-based role
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• High School Diploma

Nice to Have (but Not Required):

• Forklift or scissor lift experience
• Prior grocery store installation or remodel experience
• EPA 608 Certification (any level)
• Experience with case plumbing or rough-in work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
