We are seeking a certified and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is essential for the efficient movement and storage of goods within our high-rack warehousing system. You will operate a reach truck to transport, place, and retrieve products, ensuring accuracy and safety in all operations. A strong understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management is key. Safety is paramount in our operations; therefore, you will be required to strictly follow all safety procedures and utilize the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves focused operation of specialized equipment and may require occasional lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and system updates.
- Ensure all products are stored in the correct locations according to warehouse layout.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist other warehouse staff with tasks as needed.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics department.
- Follow all guidelines related to safe material handling and operation.
- May involve some manual lifting and physical tasks.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification to operate a reach truck.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate other warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional lifting and standing.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems.
