We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator in San Diego, California, to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, transporting them to designated areas, and assisting with inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and securely.
- Transport goods to and from various warehouse locations, including receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock placement and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and meet productivity goals.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
