We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments at our busy facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is the first line of defense in our inventory management, ensuring that all goods entering our warehouse are accounted for accurately and processed efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and documenting all incoming stock. A strong focus on detail and organizational skills is crucial for success in this position. Safety is paramount in our logistics operations, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.
- Tag and label incoming merchandise as required.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with shipments to supervisors and vendors.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of required PPE during all receiving activities.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to consistently wear required PPE.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
