We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists, using scanning equipment.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, with proper training.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and handling of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and packing goals.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the warehouse supervisor immediately.
- Understand and follow instructions for proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all Safety guidelines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with scanning technology is beneficial.
