This role is crucial for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched on time, contributing directly to our logistics efficiency. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying orders, packaging items securely, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. You will also play a role in maintaining organized shipping areas and ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. Responsibilities:
- Process outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy in picking and packing.
- Prepare shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS) for pickups and deliveries.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and track shipments.
- Ensure shipping areas are clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other shipping and logistics-related tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of packages.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
