We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team in Boise, Idaho. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is essential to our logistics operations, requiring precision, reliability, and a thorough understanding of forklift operations and warehouse Safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any maintenance or safety issues.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement.
- Assist with receiving and shipping operations, including staging and verifying goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Follow all company procedures and protocols for material handling and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to optimize workflow.
- Contribute to a culture of Safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must consistently wear and properly use required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to workplace Safety and logistics efficiency.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
