We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This vital role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, playing a key part in our inventory management and logistics process. Attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, defects, and discrepancies against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately document all received items, including quantities, descriptions, and condition.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly.
- Tag and label received items appropriately for internal distribution.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Assist with stocking and organizing received goods as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear required PPE during all receiving activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be committed to wearing appropriate PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
