Join our dedicated team as a Reach Truck Operator in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position is crucial for maintaining efficient and safe operations within our warehouse. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to move, stack, and retrieve inventory at various heights. Your role is vital to optimizing warehouse space and ensuring the accurate flow of goods throughout our Logistics network. We are committed to a high standard of Safety, and all operators must demonstrate proficiency and adherence to strict protocols. The ability to perform tasks that involve moderate Lifting and working in a temperature-controlled environment is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move and stack palletized goods.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Retrieve and put away inventory in designated rack locations.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and basic maintenance on the reach truck.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and system updates.
- Identify and report any damaged products or equipment malfunctions.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures strictly.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility apparel.
- Be prepared for tasks requiring moderate Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with the broader Logistics team to achieve daily targets.
- Uphold the highest standards of Safety in all warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures for operating powered industrial trucks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including moderate Lifting and working at heights.
- A strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence.
