We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Tampa, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the flow of goods throughout our facility, ensuring timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. This position demands precision, adherence to Safety standards, and the ability to work in a dynamic Logistics environment. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of safe operation and a commitment to maintaining a secure workspace. Proper use of PPE and awareness of surroundings are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move and stack inventory within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Be prepared for tasks involving moderate Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Support the broader Logistics team in achieving operational goals.
- Ensure a high level of Safety awareness at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations for forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including moderate Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety.
This role is critical to our Logistics operations, requiring a certified and experienced Forklift Operator who prioritizes Safety above all else.
