As a Material Handler, you will be an integral part of our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and shipping materials within the distribution center. This role requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and efficient material handling techniques. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and inventory accuracy. Experience with manual and powered equipment is a plus. The ideal candidate will be reliable, possess good physical stamina for lifting, and have a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
