We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring timely and correct shipments, forming the backbone of our logistics operations. You will use scanning devices and follow pick lists to locate and gather products efficiently. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory according to order specifications and pick lists.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to locate and confirm picked items.
- Ensure picked items are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics tasks as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies encountered during the picking process to supervisors.
- This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department through diligent work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product information.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
