We are seeking dedicated Picker/Packers to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and attention to detail are critical to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work with picking lists or scanners to locate products, carefully pack them to prevent damage, and prepare them for dispatch. This position is a cornerstone of our logistics operations, requiring physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack selected items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before sealing packages for shipment.
- Operate hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for picking and packing orders.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are labeled correctly for efficient logistics.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to support the logistics team.
- This role involves frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Handle goods with care to prevent damage during the picking and packing process, ensuring quality logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order picking lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of wearing PPE.
