Join our fast-paced logistics team in San Diego, California, as a Picker/Packer! This role is vital for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for both selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick a variety of items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order tickets to ensure accuracy.
- Carefully pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Understand the logistics of order fulfillment to maximize efficiency.
- Follow all safety regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support overall warehouse operations.
- Inspect products for any defects before packing.
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a picker or packer is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret picking lists and product codes. Basic math skills. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with logistics and order fulfillment processes is a plus. This role requires speed, accuracy, and a dedication to quality.
