Our San Antonio, Texas facility is seeking a diligent Material Handler to manage the flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and prepared efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure work environment. You will be involved in handling a wide range of materials, operating equipment, and supporting various warehouse functions. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Stage materials for production, assembly, or shipment.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse aisles and storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, involving considerable Lifting .
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to use required PPE , such as hard hats and safety vests.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to promoting and practicing workplace safety .
- Team player with good communication abilities.
