We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our warehouse and requires a strong commitment to safety and productivity. You will be instrumental in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport raw materials, full goods, and finished goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of movement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator with a valid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
