We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and compliantly. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and verifying shipment contents. A strong focus on Safety and adherence to company procedures are key. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced Logistics environment. You will play a critical role in customer satisfaction by ensuring orders leave our facility on time and in perfect condition. We value individuals who are reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all shipping operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties as needed.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers regarding shipping issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Use required PPE when handling packages or operating equipment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall Logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and Logistics .
- Commitment to workplace Safety .
- Ability to perform some manual tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE .
