*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our Periodontal and Dental Implant practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative team dedicated to improving patients’ oral health and overall well-being. Experience with EMR systems, infection control protocols, and periodontal procedures would be highly valuable. The position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records management, and patient assessment techniques to ensure comprehensive care.
*Duties*
* Perform periodontal maintenance visits, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and calculus using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments.
* Assist with medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
* Review patient medical histories and documentation to ensure accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
* Monitor patient comfort levels and provide compassionate care tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable.
* Review medical coding and documentation for billing accuracy.
* Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient assessments.
* Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols.
* Include sterilization of instruments
*Qualifications*
* Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
* Proficiency with dental software
* Experience in Periodontology is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
* Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and vital signs monitoring.
* Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
* Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $43.55 - $52.45 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
