We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our advanced logistics center in Portland, Oregon. This vital role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and readily available. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement procedures to minimize stock inaccuracies and losses. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our inventory management processes and supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain. A strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all company guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and expiration dates.
- Ensure proper organization and placement of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to address inventory issues.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and guidelines.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE correctly during all inventory-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
- Proficiency with WMS software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must consistently wear and use required PPE.
