We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Sacramento, California. This critical role ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport, load, and unload goods, contributing to the seamless flow of inventory. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be expected to maintain a safe operating environment for yourself and your colleagues. This position requires precision, a keen awareness of surroundings, and adherence to all company safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and warehouse procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Accurately record movement of goods and assist with inventory tasks.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times, including safety shoes and vests.
- Support overall logistics and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must consistently wear required PPE.
- Good communication skills.
