Job Summary:
Lead our operations as a Warehouse Supervisor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a safe working environment. This is a key role responsible for managing a team, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of performance within our logistics facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including order pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Develop and implement work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
  • Enforce all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Implement and maintain a culture of safety throughout the warehouse.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs within our logistics operations.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or employee conflicts promptly.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and direct staff performing lifting tasks.
  • Maintain clear communication with management, other departments, and external partners.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus. Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics. Knowledge of WMS software. Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities. Physical ability to perform tasks as needed, including lifting. Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting the correct use of PPE. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to managing warehouse operations effectively.
