Huntsville, Alabama is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures are paramount. You will play a key part in managing inventory within our facility, ensuring that products are handled correctly and stored appropriately. This position requires a skilled operator who can navigate tight spaces and handle a variety of materials. We offer competitive pay and benefits for qualified candidates. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Move materials from receiving to storage or to production areas.
- Stack and retrieve pallets and other materials in designated areas.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation.
- Follow all established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting .
- Ensure that all loads are secure and properly handled.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Ability to perform physical tasks and occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must wear provided PPE , including safety shoes and vest.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
