We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Boston, Massachusetts warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, directly impacting our Logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions, and managing stock adjustments. You will also contribute to optimizing warehouse layout and storage procedures to improve accessibility and reduce errors. A meticulous approach, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of inventory management systems are essential. This position requires a commitment to Safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols, including the use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage stock adjustments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Recommend improvements to warehouse layout and storage methods.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and procedures.
- Operate relevant warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory-related activities.
- Support the overall effectiveness of our Logistics department through precise inventory management.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role. Proficiency with inventory management software and systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform basic Lifting and operate warehouse equipment. Good understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics. Commitment to workplace Safety. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
