Our dynamic logistics hub in New York City, New York, is looking for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator. The Forklift Operator is essential for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move products to and from storage areas, and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires a valid forklift certification and a strong commitment to Safety. Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse equipment is necessary. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow all operational procedures. This is a critical position that ensures the smooth flow of goods through our Logistics network. We emphasize the importance of Safety and require all employees to use designated PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve products from racks.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of all required PPE.
- Support overall Logistics efficiency by performing tasks promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification. Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting. Strong understanding of Logistics operations. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a good work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
