Join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking an organized and meticulous individual to manage the inflow of goods into our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, ensuring all incoming inventory is accurately recorded, inspected, and stored. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, verifying order details, and maintaining organized receiving areas. A strong attention to detail and commitment to safety are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming merchandise from delivery trucks.
- Verify received items against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies in quantity or type.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods for damage or defects.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label all received inventory appropriately.
- Stock items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the receiving area, adhering to safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and WMS operation.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures within logistics.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team effort.
