Job Summary:
Join our Madison, Wisconsin team as a Material Handler and play a crucial role in the flow of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently, safely, and accurately throughout the facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques, is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Properly utilize lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
  • Support logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of materials.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems.
