You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport raw materials, components, and finished goods. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques, is essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Properly utilize lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control systems.
Working Conditions:
