We are seeking a meticulous Order Picker to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse inventory and preparing them for the packing and shipping stages. This role demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety standards. You will be trained on using RF scanners and other warehouse technology to locate and record inventory. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to walk, stand, and perform moderate lifting throughout the shift. Adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. Join us and contribute to the seamless flow of goods within our distribution network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick designated items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or electronic pick tickets.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the staging or packing area.
- Verify order details to ensure correct items and quantities are picked.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to achieving daily order picking goals.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift items throughout the shift.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
