We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial to our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling and inventory management. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, as well as performing routine checks on the forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and stage merchandise according to company guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet productivity goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
