We are seeking an efficient Order Picker to join our busy distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or system-generated orders. This fast-paced role requires accuracy, speed, and a strong attention to detail to minimize errors. The ideal candidate is physically fit, able to navigate a large warehouse environment, and committed to safety. This position involves significant walking, standing, and lifting throughout your shift. Adherence to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. You will work as part of a dedicated logistics team, contributing to the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Utilize RF scanners or pick sheets to guide picking process.
- Ensure picked items are correct in quantity and type.
- Transport picked items to packing or staging areas.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, including safe lifting practices and the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away when required.
- Meet or exceed established picking quotas and performance standards.
- Contribute to overall team success in the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
