Take on a vital role as an Inventory Control Specialist with our logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. We are searching for a meticulous and organized individual to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include performing regular audits, investigating discrepancies, reconciling stock levels, and implementing procedures to enhance inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will be required to adhere to all Safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While the role is primarily analytical, occasional physical tasks involving Lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and errors.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy and flow.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory tracking software.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and use warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and organized work environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
