We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records at our Provo, Utah facility. This crucial role ensures that our stock levels are precise, which directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include conducting regular physical inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock variances, and implementing improvements to inventory control processes. The Inventory Control Specialist will work closely with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to ensure seamless logistics operations. You will also be responsible for identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory and making recommendations for disposition. A strong understanding of inventory management software and principles is essential. We value accuracy, organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to lifting guidelines, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures
- Monitor stock levels and report on shortages or overages
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and PPE usage
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
