Our growing logistics operation in Charlotte, North Carolina, is looking for a dedicated Order Picker. This role is central to our mission of providing efficient and accurate order fulfillment. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory to prepare customer orders, playing a key part in the supply chain. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, possess strong attention to detail, and prioritize safety in all tasks. You'll work in a warehouse environment that values teamwork and productivity. We believe in training our team members to excel, ensuring you have the tools and knowledge for success in this important role within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations according to pick lists.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order details.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers where applicable.
- Maintain tidiness and organization within your assigned picking zones.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Promptly report any stock discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to your supervisor.
- Meet established productivity targets for picking and order fulfillment.
- Support team efforts by assisting with other warehouse functions as needed.
- Foster a collaborative environment with fellow team members.
- Handle inventory with care to minimize damage.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Prior warehouse or order picking experience is beneficial. This role requires the ability to perform consistent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physical activity throughout the shift. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial. Understanding of warehouse safety procedures is required, and commitment to them is essential. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and general logistics operations is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are needed to interact with colleagues and management. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
