We are hiring an energetic and efficient Order Picker to join our vibrant warehouse team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in the fulfillment process by accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your primary responsibilities will include navigating the warehouse using an order list, locating items, picking them with precision, and staging them for quality control and packing. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a strong attention to detail, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is key to ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt and accurate order fulfillment. We are committed to a safe working environment, requiring strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting and moving products, so good physical condition is essential. Familiarity with warehouse logistics is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders according to provided lists and specifications.
- Locate products within the warehouse efficiently.
- Verify picked items against order details.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and quality checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (if applicable and trained).
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that require consistent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Contribute to the overall productivity and success of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order lists and product labels accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet performance targets.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is a plus.
