We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Madison, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store goods within our warehouse. This role is critical to our overall logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products from receiving to shipping. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain inventory accuracy and support daily operational goals. Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies is paramount. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Stack and arrange materials in a neat and organized manner, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE .
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
