We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility will be to move materials, load and unload trucks, and support inventory management processes. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the facility and out to our customers. You will be an integral part of a fast-paced warehouse setting, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and competently to move, stack, and unstack merchandise.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks and trailers.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
