We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in Des Moines, Iowa. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of safety and accuracy. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflow, optimizing inventory management, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will play a crucial part in maintaining our logistics operations, implementing best practices, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and effective team leadership is essential. This role requires individuals who are decisive, organized, and committed to excellence. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety, including proper lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and operational procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy through effective inventory control measures.
- Train and mentor new and existing team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a well-maintained facility.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain execution.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with WMS and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform lifting (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
