We are seeking a highly motivated Inventory Control Specialist to join our innovative logistics team in San Francisco, California. This position is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control, including cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and system updates. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory best practices. Your contribution will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction through precise stock management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to maintain data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
- Maintain and update inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify trends, and report on potential stockouts or overages.
- Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and operational teams to optimize inventory processes.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and organization of all inventory items to minimize loss and damage.
- Uphold and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in training new team members on inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory performance metrics and provide reports to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be capable of performing tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- A comprehensive understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe working environment.
