Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of inventory within our San Jose, California warehouse. This critical role ensures that our stock levels are precise, discrepancies are investigated and resolved, and that our inventory management systems are up-to-date. The Inventory Control Specialist is vital to optimizing warehouse efficiency, reducing costs associated with stockouts or overstocking, and supporting our overall logistics operations. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transactions, locating misplaced items, and identifying root causes.
  • Maintain and update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement in stock levels and flow.
  • Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and operations departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) and ensure proper product handling to minimize damage.
  • Ensure the warehouse is organized and aisles are clear, promoting safety and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs when necessary for inventory checks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics role.
  • Strong proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
