Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions in an outpatient setting. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including bone densitometry, general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
• ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required

Essential Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
