• Short-term 60-day assignment supporting diagnostic respiratory services

Job Summary: The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients in both pulmonary function laboratory and clinical care settings. This role requires advanced expertise in pulmonary function testing, respiratory diagnostics, and clinical respiratory care. The therapist supports high-quality patient outcomes through accurate testing, effective treatment delivery, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week, day-shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) position for a 60-day assignment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of Pulmonary Function Testing experience – Required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a functioning PFT laboratory – Required
• 3 years of experience performing spirometry, plethysmography, DLCO, 6-minute walk tests, and ABGs – Required
• Working knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilators – Required
• Computer application proficiency – Required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience – Preferred
• Intubation experience – Preferred

Education

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Program – Required

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred

License

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License – Required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential – Required
