Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Maintenance Groundskeeper to perform maintenance operations on the grounds of PHS-Albuquerque facilities. Under direct supervision, the Grounds-1 will perform weekly maintenance of lawn and shrub areas as well as irrigation systems.

Ideal Candidate/Prefer Qualifications/or Why this position is unique

This role focuses on:

  • Performs weekly grounds maintenance at assigned PHS facilities.
  • Performs weekly and as needed maintenance of grounds department equipment.
  • Under supervision, maintains irrigation systems.
  • Continuously improves technical knowledge and skills through participation in education programs and is-service meetings.
  • Supports organizational visions, values and strategies
  • Handling and packaging of Universal Waste; florescent bulbs, batteries, mercury containing equipment
  • Proper labeling of Universal Waste containers including accumulation start date
  • Knowledge of Universal Waste accidental release procedures
  • Understanding of infrequent disposal of hazardous waste; flammables, toxics, oxidizers, corrosives
  • Handling and packaging of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluids for proper disposal
  • Proper labeling of Used Oil containers including accumulation start date
  • Knowledge of Used Oil/Used Hydraulic Fluid accidental release procedures and collection/clean up

  • Less than High school required.

  • No experience required.
  • Must have valid driver license and be insurable.
