Kennel Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care for animals in our facility. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the health and happiness of the animals under your care while also providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising dogs and cats.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
• Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
• Support pet grooming activities as required, ensuring pets are clean and comfortable.
• Interact with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help maintain inventory of supplies needed for animal care and facility maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and sanitation standards within the facility.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Customer service experience is highly valued to ensure positive interactions with pet owners.
• Familiarity with veterinary practices, pet sitting, dog handling, or grooming is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both animals and their owners effectively.
